Courtney Knox

Associate Attorney

Ms. Knox graduated cum laude with University Honors from the American University in January 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in justice and a minor in psychology.  Ms. Knox was on the Dean's list every semester and was members of the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Fraternity and the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Courtney received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.  While attending law school, Ms. Knox interned for the Honorable Jeffrey Manning of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and completed a semester long clinic in elder law.  She was also vice-president of the Student Bar Association and a member of the Pitt Legal Income Sharing Foundation.

In August 2006 Attorney Knox began a year-long judicial clerkship with the Honorable John M. Cascio, the Honorable David C. Klementik, and the Honorable D. Gregory Geary of the Court of Common Pleas of Somerset County, Pennsylvania.  In that capacity, Ms. Knox performed legal research and writing for the judges on a variety of legal issues including family law topics and also served as an interim Support Hearing Officer.  Courtney began her employment as an associate attorney with Lisa Marie Vari & Associates, P.C. in July 2007.

Ms. Knox is a 1998 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.  She was known by her maiden name, Courtney McCafferty, until December 2006 when she wed Bobby Knox.
